Joyce and Esten Pembamoyo visit from Mchenga

Joyce and Esten Pembamoyo visit from Mchenga in Malawi, the village neighbouring Moet School.  Their youngest boy attends  Moet school and that is just the start of the many connections between MACOBO and MOET.  Eston organises the distribution of goods from the containers sent from England. There are always lots of boxes made up of donations from Carlisle including Crosby Nursery.  Joyce is multi-talented and the clothes you see her and her husband wearing in this photograph were designed and made by her. She is hoping to set up a centre for tailoring in the village where Esten is the Reverend Father. Esten is particularly interested in permaculture. His studies brought them to England to attend a conference on sustainability. Sue and Mike seized on the opportunity to show them our beautiful borderlands. Joyce and Esten stayed for only a few days but it gave Sue and Mike a great chance to catch up on the latest news and lay plans for the future.  And gave me a chance to enjoy the fantastic charm and warmth that imbues the selfless achievements of these two couples.
